Call for presentations now open!

Rock to Road is now accepting presentation proposals for the inaugural Quarry Tech forum. Presentation proposals are currently being accepted for the following topics: telematics, UAVs for aggregate operations, automated vehicles, crushers, conveyors, water conservation, scale solutions, and dust and noise control.

Presentation proposals must be submitted by no later than October 20, 2017.

Speakers selected to present at Quarry Tech will be notified by November 1, 2017.

JEF MCGEE

Jef has spent 33 years in the aggregate industry and is currently New Business Manager, Aggregates, at Polydeck Screen Corporation. A native of Illinois, he received his mining engineering degree from Missouri-Rolla then began his career as a mining engineer, then a production foreman before becoming plant manager for three quarries in the U.S. Midwest. He served as an area operation manager for another Midwest producer before joining Polydeck in 2006 as an applications engineer.

Joe Steiger is the Eastern Sales Manager for Trimble LOADRITE Payload Management systems where he helps quarry management, production and mobile equipment managers, and performance improvement teams find solutions to operational challenges. He has eight years of experience consulting to reduce maintenance costs, lower fuel costs, improve tire life and most importantly - maximize tons per hour across the US and Canada.

Mario Borsella is the manager of the Field Services Engineering Group at NTN Bearing Corporation of Canada. Mario is a mechanical engineer with over 22 years of professional work experience in the bearings industry, having served in various roles within the Engineering and Technical Service division of NTN Canada.

If something smells like cheese, look around for one of Superior’s crushing product managers Matt Gerten. That’s because Matt lives in Wisconsin. Don’t be too quick to hate though. He was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, and maintains his roots as a Vikings fan in Packer territory. Matt came to Superior from Metso where he was a crushing application specialist. While they’re not so sure about his face, Superior is very thankful for Matt’s brain and experience!

Mike Leger is the manager for Syntron Material Handling products in Canada. For over 15 years, Mike has worked with rock, either breaking it or moving it in some form or fashion by way of rock drilling equipment or bulk material handling products both in the aggregate and mining industries. He’s worked with manufacturers of both equipment types as well as managed a distributorship of rock drilling equipment covering northeast North America.
