Call for presentations now open!

Rock to Road is now accepting presentation proposals for the inaugural Quarry Tech forum. Presentation proposals are currently being accepted for the following topics: telematics, UAVs for aggregate operations, automated vehicles, crushers, conveyors, water conservation, scale solutions, and dust and noise control.

Presentation proposals must be submitted by no later than October 20, 2017.

Speakers selected to present at Quarry Tech will be notified by November 1, 2017.

Now as the channel lead for Australian drone data company, Propeller Aero, he brings this extensive experience to the emerging drone market focused on enabling the adoption of the latest surveying technology for the construction, mining and quarrying industries.
Barry Proctor

Barry Proctor

Barry Proctor is Area Manager for ELRUS USA in the Western United States focusing on portable crushing and screening. Prior to moving to the U.S., Barry managed territories for ELRUS in Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia. Barry has 30 years of experience in crushing as a crushing contractor, service technician, equipment sales and sales management. As well as his role in the U.S., Barry is part of the senior management team at ELRUS and is very involved in the research and development of new products at ELRUS.
Craig Rutherford

Craig Rutherford

Craig Rutherford is a technical sales manager at the Wirtgen Group. He looks after the Canadian market for Kleemann crushing and screening products. He brings with him over 20 years of experience in the mineral processing industry specializing in process application, quality assurance and industry specific technical advancements. Craig started his career working on the mechanical service teams for several equipment manufactures where he specialized in turn key installation, optimization and troubleshooting of crushing, grinding, screening and classification systems.
Dr. Hugh Davies

Dr. Hugh Davies

Professor Hugh Davies is an Associate Professor of Occupational and Environmental Health in the University of British Columbia School of Population and Public Health. He also holds appointments the Occupational Cancer Research Center and the University of Waterloo, both in Ontario. Prof. Davies has a PhD and MSc in Occupational and Environmental Hygiene, and is board-certified by the American Board of Industrial Hygienist in Comprehensive Practice (CIH).Dr. Davies’ research encompasses the full breadth of the field of occupational hygiene, i.e. hazard recognition, hazard evaluation and hazard control. Jef McGee

Jef McGee

Jef has spent 33 years in the aggregate industry and is currently New Business Manager-Aggregates at Polydeck Screen Corporation. A native of Illinois, he received his mining engineering degree from Missouri-Rolla then began his career as a mining engineer, then a production foreman before becoming plant manager for three quarries in the U.S. Midwest. He served as an area operation manager for another Midwest producer before joining Polydeck in 2006 as an applications engineer.

As Executive Director of the BC Construction Safety Alliance (BCCSA), Mike McKenna brings to his position a passion for occupational health and safety and extensive industry knowledge and expertise that spans over 20 years. After discovering an interest in occupational therapy, Mike graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Medicine from the University of BC. He began his career as an occupational therapist at GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre where he worked for 10 years.
